Very pleased with this. I like the the extra length of the legs, although it would be even better if they were yet a little longer. It is of better quality than the last one I purchased which fell apart after some use. This one is sturdier.

So simple to cook healthy by steaming (anything). this steamer basket will fit into almost any sauce pan even a small pressure cooker pan (for super fast cooking ). The basket is easily removed with a fork through the center ring. Steamed food could even be served on a wood cutting board directly from the steamer

The product shipped unharmed to my front door and even came with a free vegetable peeler! It is compact which makes it much easier to store, and it fits most any pot, because of the expanding design.There is a ring in the middle of the steamer when it is fully opened that allows you to stick a fork through it to pull it out. It has legs at the bottom, so it stands over the water instead of inside of it. I pack a lot of lunches daily with different kinds of veggies, and I usually boil them or pan fry them. I used the usual potatoes, carrots, and green beans; used the free peeler. It was pretty decent for being included. I then put them in the steamer for 15 minutes. The veggies came out great, and not overcooked! Still had a little bite to them. I just threw some seasoning salt over it and served. I do recommend that you balance the steamer so that when you pick it up in the middle it doesn't topple to one side. Other then that, great product!

Metal steamer I steam a lot of vegetables for my kids. Sometimes for snack, sometimes for a side, sometimes for part of the main dish. I hate having to use a large pan for a small amount of vegetables, but most steamers are a "one size fits All" i love that this steamer is adjustable and works in litteraly all of my pans. It is very durable and, i must say, very pretty. I actually take it straight from the pan to the table and plate. I have had many compliments on this steamer. I used to have one of these, but I always thought it was a colander so I never used it as a streamer. I did use it last night to stream some broccoli and cauliflower and it was super handy. Thank god I got this steamer. I lost a leg on my old steamer so the only way to use it was to use it sitting crooked. The legs and the middle part on my old steamer were constantly coming off. The design is terrible. I love the way this one is designed. The legs and the middle part are securely attached. This steams food great. Vegetables, crab legs, you name it. I am very pleased with the quality of this steamer basket and its effectiveness. It collapses down to a small size (convenient for storage) and spreads out to a large sized tray that holds a large quantity of vegetables in a large pan. Because it is collapsible, you can use it with different sized pans and make it as large as you need to fit the pan. The stainless steel seems durable and well put together and it washes easily, either with soap and water or in the dishwasher. To use, fill the bottom of your pan with about an inch of water (shouldn’t cover the steamer basket) and place the basket inside. Cover and heat on high until the water comes to a boil. When the water is boiling and steam is escaping you are ready to put your vegetables in. Spread the vegetable out on the tray and cover, turning heat down to medium. Steam for a few minutes, depending on the size and type of vegetables. You can tell that they are done based on the softness of the vegetable and the brightness of color. When your food is finished, grab a hot pad and lift the entire basket out, easily dumping onto a plate or bowl. Clean up is simple also. I was impressed with how many vegetables I was able to fit in the steamer basket and how quickly and evenly they cooked. I did veggies that typically take different times to cook: Broccoli, carrots and potatoes. I fit in a whole head of broccoli, 2 large potatoes and 2 handfuls of carrots. My broccoli was done in 5-8 minutes and I probably left everything else in for about 12 minutes. Everything came out soft with just the right amount of crispness and the flavor was great! I just simply seasoned with some salt and pepper and a bit of parsley on the potatoes and that was all that I needed. What I really love about this steamer basket is that it has me craving vegetables more often and I can make them simply and easily for myself and my family- as little or as much as I want. It is definitely effective and this will be something that I continue.....

I have a 6 month old baby and I was determined to make my own baby food affordable and easily. I really did not want to spend the money on the expensive baby food makers when I can do it easily and much more inexpensively myself. I have a high speed blender, but I did not have a way to easily steam veggies. I wanted to steam them vs boiling, etc. to maintain the nutrients. It peels easily and requires very little effort on my part. It cleans up easily or can be thrown into the dishwasher. Even though I got this primarily to make baby food, I have used it to steam veggies for dinner time. It does a great job. My veggies are brightly colored, retain nutrients and are soft and easy to eat. It has an 18 month warranty- so it is good to know that they stand behind their product. It's much bigger than I expected it to be since I am a full-time blogger I was given an opportunity to test his product at a discounted price in exchange for an unbiased review. I have used items like this before but I stopped because my family has grown and I've never been able to find one that was big enough to make food for my entire family. I've never seen them one this size it's big enough to feed multiple people but yet still a good-sized work of it until pot is really nice and retracts very easily so it opens and shuts and its easy to store. Overall the quality is really great very durable it's nice it's a very nice product and very well made.

This steamer works very well! The steamer contours nearly any shape or size of pot. The one thing you have to be cautious of, is when removing the steamer basket from your pot, DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS! You will burn yourself! Please use another utensil or pot holder to remove the basket from the pot. The vegetable peeler works well too. I am a bit perplexed at the serrated teeth on the peeler's blade, which makes a ridged pattern on your vegetables. I am not sure why the manufacturer put the serrated teeth there and what benefit it has? The peeler runs very smoothly and I am happy with the way it operates, even though it has ridged markings on my vegetables. There is not much I love more than healthy steamed vegetables! Steaming veggies is the healthiest way to eat them "cooked" while maintaining the benefits of their nutrients and vitamins! This steamer does the job outstanding! I ordered this and was thrilled when it arrived in perfect timing within the estimated arrival date! It was delivered in perfect condition with no damage to the package or product! It's exactly as described by the seller and even includes a very nice, stainless steel veggie peeler! This steamer makes is soo stinking easy to steam fresh veggies or even frozen ones without the use of the microwave. I like to rest mine on top of my pot with my boiling water underneath. There are feet on the bottom to place directly into the pan, but that is not my personal preference. The steamer easily unfolds by placing thumbs into the opening on top; to close you just push it closed and it folds into itself for easy storage. I handwashed mine after each use, but you could definitely try a top rack dishwasher cycle if you please. The included vegetable peeler makes a nice addition to prep the veggies you are going ro cook or even use for garnish. I like to buy frozen vegetables which I can easily toss in the microwave but doesnt really count as steamed vegetables as sometimes might be left with the freezer flavor. The wings that fold in and out allow the steamer to fit in basically any pot or even a deepfrying pan, so as long as you have a pot you will be fone. Just drop the steamer into the pot and fill with water until it just hits the base of the steamer. You shouldn’t see any water coming through the holes fill it to just under that spot. Its so simple and easy to use. Overall it is very well design. Its made out of stainless steel so it wont stain or rust. I can easily adjust it to fit any of my puts and in no time I have fresh steam delicious vegetables. I really like it, recommend! Received this product a week ago and I've been using it almost every day! What a great convenient steamer, wish I had ordered it earlier! Came in great packaging, i love the amazing peeler with it. I was a little lost at first because i didn't know how it would expand but that was just me being dumb, its easy to expand as you can open it up yourself. It's actually a really big size once expanded and what makes it super cool is the stand like base, which allows to have a good amount of water for steaming. My dad has been advised to watch his diet so this came just in time, he loves his steamed vegetables. this premium stainless steel steamer/strainer basket is a quality made. I have somewhat like this that i bought at walmart but after after just one use it feel apart into pieces, and even f i tried to attached the teeth thats falling apart it get more looser thus got useless for me and went into trash. All the parts of this steamer basket are snugly put into places and even when i tried to pulling it apart to test its durability, it doesn't get broken. Very very well made. The three feet at the bottom is very sturdy. The pickup ring is very useful when pulling out of the pot. The foldable steamer easily molds to the size of the pots to be used. It can also be a serving platter from the pot to the table. The free peeler is very shape too. It feels expensive and well made. I am happy with this purchase. We’ve been using a vegetable steamer made of silicon but lately, we have noticed its deformation and is no longer appealing. We thought then that for a replacement, it is better to try one that is made of stainless steel. Now I have this Ecooe Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer which is working very well. We have been using it now not only for vegetables but also for root crops like sweet potatoes which does equally well. It is also easy to clean and can be put in a dishwasher, too. I like this steamer because it is collapsible and adjusts to different sizes of pots. This steamer can expand from about 6 inches to as big as about 10 inches diameter. This product comes with an extra peeler which becomes handy during food preparation. We do not regret having replaced our silicon steamer with this stainless steel steamer because of its better performance and expected longer life.
